The business case

IT problems become business problems.

When technology lets you down, the impact reaches customers, cash flow and reputation. Business Advantage connects everyday IT decisions to what your business needs to protect.

Protect continuity

Keep the focus on sales, customer service and core operations, with a planned approach to detecting incidents and restoring service.

Control cost

Bring core licences, security and support into a per-user monthly model, with clearer ownership of spend and priorities.

Reduce risk

Address people, email, identities, devices, data and third-party access as connected parts of the same business.

What you receive

One service. Four business disciplines.

A joined-up operating model for protecting your business, supporting your people, recovering your data and keeping technology decisions on track.

01 · Protect

Build stronger defences.

Combine managed detection with Microsoft 365 Business Premium controls and security awareness training.

  • 24/7 managed threat detection and containment capabilities.
  • Identity and access controls, including MFA and access rules.
  • Safer email and ongoing awareness training for your people.

Business focus: reduce the likelihood and impact of disruption.

02 · Support

Keep your people moving.

Bring proactive support, patching and standardised device management into a coordinated service.

  • Support for everyday IT issues.
  • Proactive patching and consistent device policies.
  • Clear ownership of incidents and follow-through.

Business focus: fewer interruptions and better-controlled change.

03 · Recover

Plan your route back.

Protect a recovery copy of your data and test the ability to restore it when live data is damaged or lost.

  • Managed, immutable backup.
  • Restore testing.
  • Managed recovery capabilities.

Business focus: a clearer path back to normal operations.

04 · Govern

Make progress visible.

Connect service activity and technology choices to business priorities, rather than waiting for the next urgent problem.

  • Monthly KPIs and service reporting.
  • Regular reviews of priorities and risk.
  • A practical technology roadmap.

Business focus: clearer decisions, accountability and direction.

Coverage, supported systems, licensing, support hours and recovery arrangements are confirmed in your proposal. 24/7 threat monitoring is not a promise of a 24/7 helpdesk or guaranteed recovery times.

A better operating model

Move beyond fixing the next problem.

Put prevention, visibility and planned improvement at the centre of your IT relationship.

Reactive IT

Always catching up.

  • Problems addressed after failure.
  • Separate tools and unclear ownership.
  • Changes driven by urgency.
  • Knowledge held by individuals.

Cost and accountability

Know what you are paying for. Know who is responsible.

A per-user monthly model brings core licences, security and support into the same conversation. The value is not simply a fee: it is a clearer connection between spend, ownership and business outcomes.

Your questions, answered

Before you get started.

What is Business Advantage?

Business Advantage is Dotnet.ie’s managed IT service, bringing protection, support, recovery and governance together in one accountable model. It connects the day-to-day operation of your IT with business continuity, cost visibility and risk reduction.

How does Microsoft 365 fit into the service?

The service model aligns security controls with Microsoft 365 Business Premium, including identity and access, device policies and email protection. Your proposal confirms the licences and coverage required for your environment.

Does 24/7 monitoring mean 24/7 helpdesk support?

The 24/7 capability relates to managed threat detection and monitoring, with containment capabilities. Helpdesk availability, response arrangements and the scope of support are confirmed separately in your service proposal.

What happens if data is lost or damaged?

The service model includes managed, immutable backup, restore testing and managed recovery capabilities. The systems covered and recovery arrangements are agreed for your environment. Specific recovery times are not promised on this page.

How much does Business Advantage cost?

Business Advantage uses a per-user monthly model. We will confirm pricing, licences, inclusions, support coverage and any separately scoped work in your proposal, based on your business requirements.

Does booking a review commit us to a contract?

No. It starts a conversation about your current risks, the coverage you need and a practical roadmap. You can review the proposed service and terms before deciding whether to proceed.
